PICNIC AT THE MAA
Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 12 to 9 p.m.
We invite you to Picnic at the MAA, with Kišobran, Zaokret, Kabinet Brewery, 2 Tales Gin, Burger House and Bubamara ice cream!
Spend the whole day, August 22, from 12 to 9 pm, in the garden of the Museum of African Art, which will be brimming with musical, creative, educational and other contents tailored to suit your interests and for pure enjoyment.
In harmony with the sounds of nature, Little Lu & Doo will be your DJ’s for the day.
Curators of the Museum of African Art have designed two educational and creative workshops for children: “More than a Puppet: aquaba in Ashanti culture” (from 1 pm to 3 pm) and “Fantastic forms: kple kple, mask of the Baule people” (from 4 pm to 6 pm). Don’t miss the before-closing exhibition tour through “Traditional Theatre Puppets of Mali” guided by exhibition curator and accompanying catalogue author Marija Miloš (1 pm and 4 pm).
Admission for Picnic at the MAA is free, and we encourage you to come with the whole family and (other animals i.e. pets).
Just bring a blanket and sunscreen, and you’re ready for a day of relaxation in nature!
